Published
1 min read

This study was carried out to show the effects of suicide on the world population. The data used for the study was gotten from Kaggle. The data had a fair amount of the countries in the world, though most countries were absent due to a lack of data from their end.

The data was cleaned by using the filter option in excel to remove blank fields. Some unnecessary columns were removed from the dataset and it was ready for use.

Some of the insights gotten showed that global suicide rates have been on a steady rise since 1986. suicides committed across the world gradually increased until 2000. After that, there was a gradual reduction yearly until 2015. The insights gotten from this dataset also showed that the Russian Federation was the country with the highest number of suicide cases. This was closely followed by the United States of America. The two countries are among the most populous countries in the world and that explains why they have such a high amount of suicide cases.
